Removals van beside a waterside apartment block at Salford Quays during a move

Salford splits neatly in two for removals: the high-rise waterside blocks at the Quays and MediaCity, and traditional housing in Eccles, Swinton and Pendlebury. Both are 35 to 45 minutes from Wigan and both are charged at the standard hourly rate.

Quays and MediaCity apartments

Waterside blocks almost always route moves through a service entrance with a booked goods lift. Give the concierge notice, get the slot in writing, and a one-bed apartment is comfortably done in two to three hours.

Eccles, Swinton and Pendlebury houses

Older terraces and semis here behave like any other Greater Manchester house move: pack early, dismantle beds, and a two-bed home fits one 15 m³ load.

Salford to Wigan moves

Moving out to the Wigan borough for space is common, and the whole job — load, drive, unload — usually lands inside a single working day with two movers.
