One hourly rate, published floor surcharges, and free lift access. Every job is carried out in our own Ford Transit LWB 15m³.

Two men & van

Two movers plus the van — the fastest option for full house and flat moves. Minimum 2 hours booking.
Minimum charge is two hours. Time is billed from arrival at your loading address to the final item unloaded, rounded to the nearest 15 minutes. Blankets, straps, trolleys and floor protection are always included.

Stairs inside a house are part of the job and are never charged separately. Flats and apartments are different: carrying a wardrobe up four flights takes real time and real effort, so we apply a clear per-floor surcharge instead of quietly inflating the hourly rate for everyone.
The surcharge is charged per mover. First floor is £10 each, second floor £20 each, third floor £30 each, and each additional floor adds a further £10 each. Two movers on a third-floor flat therefore adds £60 to the job — and you know that number before you book.
If the building has a working lift we charge nothing extra at all, whatever floor you are on. That single rule alone saves most city-centre apartment customers money compared with a fixed-price quote.

Pricing FAQs
Is there VAT on top?
No. The rates shown are the rates you pay — £45 or £70 per hour (two men have a minimum 2 hours booking) with nothing added afterwards.
Do you charge for fuel or mileage?
Not within our core coverage area. For long-distance moves beyond the North West we agree a fixed travel figure in writing before the booking.
What is the minimum booking?
Two hours. Most single-item jobs fall comfortably inside that.
How do I pay?
Bank transfer or cash on completion. A small deposit secures peak dates such as Fridays and month-ends.
What if the job takes longer than estimated?
You only ever pay for the time actually worked. If we finish early you pay less than the estimate — that is the point of hourly billing.
Which van will turn up?
Always our own Ford Transit LWB 15m³. We do not subcontract and we do not hire in extra vehicles.
