Atherton, Tyldesley and Hindley sit within ten minutes of each other and fifteen of our base. Moves between them are the least expensive jobs on our books because almost none of the clock goes on driving.
What a short local hop costs
With one mover at £45 per hour, a small flat or a room move between these towns is often finished inside two hours. Two movers at £70 per hour halve the time on anything with heavy furniture, and the two-hour minimum still usually covers the whole job.
- Room or student move: 1–2 hours
- One-bed flat: 2–3 hours
- Two-bed terrace: 3–4 hours
- Tip or charity run: charged by the hour, no minimum with one mover
Access notes for each town
Atherton and Hindsford are largely terraced with on-street parking that fills by mid-morning. Hindley has a lot of first and second-floor flats, where the published floor surcharge applies. Tyldesley, Astley and Mosley Common are more mixed, with better driveway access.
Booking two towns in one day
Because the distances are so short, we can often pair a morning collection in Atherton with an afternoon move in Hindley. If your dates are flexible, ask — flexible slots are the easiest to fit in.
